The purpose of the Friends of the Georgetown Public Library is to:

• promote public use and community support of the library,

• foster appreciation of its value as a cultural and educational asset to the community, and

• encourage the extension and improvement of its services.

The "Friends" work in cooperation with the Library Advisory Board and the Georgetown Library Foundation.
